10 Things You Can Do at Home to Help Your Joints
To make your joints feel better try these 10 things:
1. Wall Slides:Stand with your back against a wall. Put your arms up at a 90-degree angle. Slowly move your arms up and down. Do this 12 times three times a day.
2. Quad Sets: Sit on the floor with your legs straight. Put a towel under your knee. Tighten your thigh muscle. Hold for 5 seconds. Do this 15 times, two times a day.
3.. Chin Tucks: Sit up straight. Pull your chin back. Hold for 3 seconds. Do this 10 times three times a day.
4. Clamshells: Lie on your side with your knees bent. Slowly move your knee up. Do not move your pelvis. Do this 10 times three times a day.
5.. Scapular Squeezes:Squeeze your shoulder blades together. Hold for 5 seconds. Do this 10 times three times a day.
6. Drink Water:Your joints need water to work properly. Drink 2.5 to 3 liters of water a day.
7. Do Not Crack Your Joints: Cracking your joints can make them weaker.
8. Make Your Muscles Stronger:Strong muscles help your joints.
9. Sit Comfortably:Do not sit with your knees bent at an angle.
10. Move Around: Get up. Move around every 30 minutes.
